PETALING JAYA: The Health Ministry has identified a new Covid-19 cluster, with 14 new cases Wednesday (March 4).

This brings the total number of cases recorded to date to 50.

In a statement on Wednesday, the Ministry said that the cluster involved Patient 26, who was an UDA Holdings Bhd board member.

"According to investigations so far, there have been 215 close-contact situations with the patient (Patient 26).

"From those cases, 16 have been tested positive (for Covid-19), 19 negative, and 180 awaiting results," the statement read.

Separately, Felcra Bhd has confirmed that a member of its board of directors (BOD) tested positive for Covid-19.

In a statement Wednesday, Felcra said that it had instructed workers based at its headquarters to work from home until Friday (March 6).

It added that cleaning and sanitation processes will be carried out.

"At the same time, the company has identified employees who have come in close contact with the affected member, and they are currently undergoing screening tests at the hospital," the statement read.

The Felcra BOD member's case is part of the 36 total cases that were announced by the Health Ministry Tuesday (March 3).
