KOTA KINABALU (Jan 4): Sabah Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Dr Jeffrey Kitingan has been tested positive for Covid-19.

This was confirmed by the Agriculture and Fisheries Ministry’s political secretary Arlinsia Agang, who said Jeffrey underwent a swab test on Sunday and was found positive for the virus.

“He is currently undergoing treatment at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. His condition remains stable,” said Arlinsia in a statement today.

Despite the setback, she said Jeffrey would continue to carry out his responsibilities as the Deputy Chief Minister and Agriculture and Fisheries Minister through video conferences, emails and other means.

In the meantime, Jeffrey said he was feeling fine and called for Sabahans to remain calm.

He also prayed for Sabah to be free from Covid-19.
