Kota Kinabalu: Some 170,000 boxes of face masks, sanitisers and surgical masks from China arrived in Sabah at 3.15pm Sunday to help the State fight the Covid-19 outbreak.

The Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal, together with other State leaders and China’s Consul-General in Kota Kinabalu, Liang Caide, were at Terminal 2 of Kota Kinabalu International Airport to receive the contribution.

Thanking China on behalf of Sabah and its people, Mohd Shafie said he was made to understand that it is just part of the contribution from China, as the rest is expected to arrive in the State in stages.

Apart from personal protective gears, healthcare experts from China are expected to arrive to assist in the State Government’s effort to contain the outbreak.
